Effective from: 28 April 2026
This policy describes how Verdure Group ("we", "us", "our"), based at Limmatquai 70, 8001 Zürich, Switzerland, handles personal data of visitors to our website and of clients who write to us through it. The policy is written in plain English and is meant to be read in one sitting.
If something here is unclear, please write to [email protected] and we will respond.
1. Who we are
Verdure Group is a small advisory firm registered in Zürich, Switzerland. We are the data controller for personal data collected through this website. Our office address is Limmatquai 70, 8001 Zürich; our general email is [email protected] and our privacy contact is [email protected].
2. What data we collect
We collect two kinds of personal data:
2.1 Data you give us
- Your name, when you complete the contact form or write to us.
- Your email address, when you complete the contact form or write to us.
- Your telephone number, if you choose to provide it (the field is optional).
- The contents of the message you write to us.
2.2 Data collected automatically
- Basic technical information such as IP address, browser type and operating system, used to keep the website working.
- Where you have consented, anonymous usage information collected by analytics cookies (see Cookies, below).
3. How we use it
We use the personal data you give us only for the purpose for which you gave it. In practice that means:
- To reply to your enquiry and to carry on the conversation that follows.
- To arrange a first call or meeting where you have asked for one.
- To deliver an engagement, once one has been agreed.
- To meet our own record-keeping obligations under Swiss law.
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data, and we do not send unsolicited marketing emails.
4. Legal basis for processing
Under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where applicable to readers in the European Economic Area, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we rely on the following legal bases:
- Your consent, where you have completed the contact form and asked us to respond.
- Performance of a contract, where we have agreed to deliver an engagement.
- Legitimate interests, for keeping the website running and protecting it from misuse.
- Legal obligation, where we are required to keep records under Swiss commercial or tax law.
5. How we keep it safe
Information you send us through the website is transmitted over an encrypted connection. Once received, it is stored on encrypted infrastructure hosted in Switzerland. Access is limited to the two principals named on the engagement and to no other party.
We keep enquiry data for up to twelve months after the last correspondence, unless an engagement has begun. Engagement materials are kept for the term of the engagement and for five years after its close, after which they are deleted, unless you ask us to delete them earlier.
6. Cookies
We use a small number of cookies — most are strictly necessary to keep the site working. Analytics cookies are only set if you give consent through the banner on the homepage. You can read more in our Cookie Policy.
7. Your rights
Under the FADP and the GDPR, you have the following rights in respect of your personal data:
- To know what data we hold about you and to receive a copy.
- To ask us to correct anything that is inaccurate.
- To ask us to delete your data, where the law allows.
- To ask us to restrict our processing of your data.
- To object to processing based on legitimate interests.
- To withdraw consent at any time, where consent is the basis we relied on.
- To lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or, if you are in the European Economic Area, with your national supervisory authority.
To exercise any of these rights, write to [email protected]. We will respond within thirty days.
8. International transfers
Our primary storage is hosted in Switzerland. Where we use a service provider located in the European Economic Area, the transfer is covered by the adequacy decisions that apply between Switzerland and the EEA. We do not transfer personal data outside Switzerland or the EEA in the normal course of our work.
9. Children's privacy
This website is intended for an adult audience. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under the age of eighteen. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, please write to us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may revise this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of the page will reflect any change. Material changes will be highlighted on the homepage for a reasonable period.
